Whose Ears Are Whose?

My critter friends are in a bind.
Their ears came off, you see.
They're in a frightful state of mind,
and need some help from me.

The trouble is they raise a fuss,
no matter what I do.
They're being quite ridiculous,
and very stubborn, too.

But I can work it out — no fear.
I'll try with all my might.
I won't give up; I'll persevere,
to somehow put things right!
