About the Illustrators
Pam Farrance was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. She showed an interest in art from an early age. In high school she was dedicated to Student Council while taking enhanced high school curriculum including Technical Illustration and Fine Arts. Pam opted to stay in Kingston after high school to attend St. Lawrence College, where she enrolled in the three-year Graphic Design Program. In 2005 Pam graduated and started a graphic design partnership in Kingston with Melanie Babcock. Since then, they have been involved in a variety of projects from branding and package design to illustrations and electronic media. Melanie Babcock was born in Kingston, Ontario and raised in Wilton (a rural village to the west of Kingston). She was rarely seen without pen and paper, drawing something. In high school she was yearbook editor for three years while taking enhanced high school curriculum including Animation, Technical Illustration and Fine Arts. Melanie attended Sheridan College's Art Fundamentals program before returning to Kingston to attend St. Lawrence College, where she enrolled in the three-year Graphic Design Program. |
